The must-have buggy that costs more than a second-hand car

I remember my sister having a Silver Cross pram – it was a used vehicle and had rejoiced in several previous drivers including my good self.

I know nothing is too good for our children but the idea of spending over a grand on something like this suggests that we still have some way to go in really embracing the levels of austerity we are meant to be getting used to.

Why don’t people buy more second hand baby stuff? Why don’t people get things repaired or even let them begin to wear out?

Sometimes it seems to me that we are living in a very lazy throw away society – or perhaps I am just becoming a grumpy old man! Read more about the jazzed up pram here.
