Britain’s oldest dog aged 26 still gets mistaken for a puppy
A heart warming and finally for Hinterland’s dog based friends as we near Christmas:
A Yorkshire terrier has become Britain’s oldest dog after turning 26, but still gets mistaken for a puppy.
Jack has arthritis and can only walk short distances, but his owners said he is so full of energy that people often think he is much younger.
The dog, who would be 117 in dog years, was rescued by Ray and Mary Bunn 16 years ago when he was ten from a couple who could not care for him.
The dog to hold the title previously was believed to be a 25-year-old Jack Russell called Meg from Somerset, but she died last December.
Interesting that the Jack Russell remained tight lipped about her age – my own version Ralph only tells us what he wants us to know…..
