Cameron pledges to turn round 120,000 ‘troubled’ families

This article sets out the commitment of the PM to tackle challenges posed to society by dysfunctional families:

“In a major speech addressing the causes of so-called “broken Britain”, the Prime Minister said yesterday that the Government’s attention would turn to addressing the problems caused by about 120,000 dysfunctional families. However, within hours of Mr Camerons announcement, the Treasury confirmed it was pushing ahead with plans to strip more than a million families of child benefit from 2013.”

Lest we should all get the view that the riots are purely an urban phenomenon or that such families don’t exist in rural England I would encourage you to book onto our free seminar on 13 September in Lincoln, where the CEO of the County Council will be talking about Lincolnshire’s national pilot work to address the challenges in rural places around supporting such families.
