River pet rescuer says any dog owner would do the same

This article features the sort of mad cap scenario my Jack Russell and I often end up in. There is no other dog breed quite like them for madness, fearlessness and fun. Thankfully all that happened in this case was dog and owner getting cold and wet!

“Malcolm Jarvis crawled half-naked out onto the ice in temperatures of minus 4C (25F) after his Jack Russell, Bentley, plunged into the Stour.

Mr Jarvis, a 48-year-old company director, had been strolling in Dedham, Essexwith his wife Rachel, 46, and two teenage daughters, when the pet ran off after ducks onto the river, before falling through the ice.”
