To fit in with our rural costs/funding theme, although I’m not sure if this is an example of innovative practice or something to be encouraged among RSN members – this piece recounts the story of the Lawrence family from Warwickshire who’ve sold their house to live on a narrowboat. They’re bills have reduced from £11,000 to £3,000 a year although living conditions are a little cramped and it’s freezing in winter!
